Ryugaku: Japanese students’ motivations.

This poster presentation displayed the experience of Japanese students studying and living in the UK. Ethnographic research results indicate that although language knowledge and skills are a factor to pull educational sojourning, previous international visits and a desire to escape Japanese society also form the narrative of the study abroad experience.
