Inhibitory Effect of S-Nitrosoglutathione on Cell Proliferation and DNA Synthesis: Possible Role of Glyoxalase I Inactivation. In this study, we clarified that nitrosoglutathione, which is produced in vivo from nitric oxide and glutathione, exhibits cell growth inhibitory activity and DNA synthesis inhibitory activity. In addition, we obtained results suggesting that the reduction of glyoxalase I activity by nitric oxide plays an important role as the mechanism of action. |
