We demonstrated the usefulness of the DJ-1 protein, which the applicant discovered as a new protein that responds to oxidative stress in vascular endothelial cells, as an oxidative damage marker in vivo. It was proved that the isoelectric point change on two-dimensional electrophoresis is a good marker that reflects the pathological level and oxidative stress at the cellular and individual levels.
