Summary
The effect of perfluorocarboxylic acid on fatty acid elongation was investigated by in vitro and animal experiments. We examined which step of fatty acid biosynthesis was affected by abnormal fatty acid metabolism that appeared at the organ level in animals ingested perfluorocarboxylic acids.
