Basic information
Responses of the liver to perfluorinated fatty acids with different carbon chain length in male and female mice:in relation to induction of hepatomegaly, peroxisomal beta-oxidation and microsomal 1-acylglycerophosphocholine acyltransferase. Induction of liver hypertrophy, peroxisomal β-oxidation, and acyltransferase activity by perfluorinated fatty acids with different carbon chain lengths was investigated in male and female mice. Although no sex difference was observed, accumulation in the liver was observed with increasing carbon chain length, and liver hypertrophy and β-oxidation were observed depending on the amount. |
