Summary
We investigated the control mechanism of stearoyl-CoA desaturase by fibrates in rat liver. It was found that increased transcription of stearoyl-CoA desaturase as well as reduced enzymatic degradation in rats treated with clofibric acid contributed to the enhanced activity.
