両親媒性α－ヘリックスペプチドであるマストパランに脂溶性のアシル基を導入し、リン脂質二分子膜との相互作用の変化を調べた。アシル基を導入することでリン脂質二分子膜中でのα－ヘリックス含量が変化した。このことから、両親媒性構造だけでなくアシル基もリン脂質二分子膜中の疎水性部分と疎水性相互をしていることが明らかとなった。
