塩基性・親水性アミノ酸であるリジンと疎水性アミノ酸であるロイシンからなる5種のモデルペプチドを用いて遺伝子導入能及び細胞毒性を比較した。5種ペプチドはそのリジン/ロイシン含量によって両親媒性構造内の疎水性領域の大きさが異なるように設計合成した。
