生着系の移植動物モデルや肝移植後に免疫抑制剤を投与中止しても拒絶を免れた患者でも、抗核抗体である抗ヒストンH1抗体及び抗HMGB1抗体が誘導されていることを発見した。
本知見は、判断の難しい免疫抑制剤の退薬時期の診断薬に繋がることを示唆した。
