抗ヒストンH1抗体は、免疫抑制的に働くことを実験的に証明してきた。この時ヒストンH1蛋白は、本来の核タンパク質としてDNAを抱合する働きとは異なる。こうしたタンパク質のムーンライト性（二面性）に注目し、免疫抑制剤を中断の可能性を探る利便性の高い移植後拒絶反応の診断薬開発の可能性に関して言及した。
