This paper aims to add further insights to the author's previous papers about the early period of the reception of Buddhism to Hungary by focusing and analyzing the works of some Hungarian Catholic and Protestant Writers and theologians (E. Szeghy, J. Kiss, P. Vay, J. Baranyay, Ö. Kovács, S. Kiss, M. Szlávik, Kováts J., S. Brassai, etc.) on Buddhism and by comparing them to the writings of some “pro-, proto- or crypto-Buddhist” public intellectuals (Lénárd, Rohonczy, etc.) of the same period. The paper also brings some new analytical approaches to the attention of the readers.
