Recent years Japanese government has made mention of need about the recurrent education. People need to understand technological progress and society continues greatly fluctuating. Therefore own skill up is demanded from the person who received education at higher education. Based on such situation, the Japanese Government has come to let higher education promote the recurrent education to people since 2007. However, about promotion of the recurrent education, a lot of case studies in the university are performed, but there are few case studies in the National Institute of Technology (NIT). On the other hand, in the local area, the recurrent education by the citizen's groups has been provided lively and there are many attractive programs.
In this article, we consider the present conditions and a problem from the citizen's group, “Manabi Nagaya”, practicing the recurrent education in the Miyakonojo sphere. Through this consideration, NIT can be concerned with recurrent education how and shows it how a citizen's group can coexist with the activity of NIT again.
