Effects of the characteristics and duration of chronic pain on psychosomatic function in the community-dwelling elderly population

この研究は、地域に住む高齢者における慢性疼痛(CP)の特徴を評価し、CPの異なる期間が認知および心理的機能に及ぼす影響を調査することを目的とした．対象は,187人の地域に住む高齢者に対し行った．調査項目には、人口統計データ(年齢と性別)、痛みに関連するアンケート、心理的および認知機能、睡眠状態が含まれていた．結果, CPの存在に最も強く関連する因子はうつ病であり、CPの長期間で痛みを拡大する傾向があると結論づけた．
