Daikenchuto (Da-Jian-Zhong-Tang), A traditional Japanese ‘kampo’ formula, potentiates regulatory effect of gastric acid secretion through activation of TRPV1 channels in awake mice

[Summary] We found that 6-gingerol dose-dependently potentiates the regulatory effect of gastric acid secretion through activation of TRPV1.  Additionally, Daikenchuto in a dietary dose potentiates the inhibitory effect of gastric acid secretion.  It is suggested that the DKT potentiated the regulatory effect on gastric acid secretion through activation of TRPV1.  It is assumed that DKT which contained 6-gingerol regulate gastric acid secretion through activation of TRPV1, leading to improve dyspeptic symptoms .
