Morphological characteristics and the related factors of moisture-associated dermatitis surrounding malignant wounds in breast cancer patients

Moisture-associated dermatitis (MAD) surrounding malignant wounds caused by wound exudates induce skin damage and difficulty of care. We investigated the periwound skin and factors related to MAD in malignant wounds of breast cancer.
Based on results, wound fluid derived from necrotic tissue may be irritative to the skin due to waste products and bacteria-associated component.
