Summary

Extensive reading is a second language acquisition approach in which comprehensive input promotes fluency and understanding. Combining this with the literature circle - a fiction based approach - requires adaptation if content rather than fiction is the focus of language input. This paper explores some of the issues surrounding this adaptation and details the results of students' perceptions of the adaptation.
