In this research notes, Dunphy & Stace’s contingency model and Oakland & Tanner’s framework are examined in the light of the "change management." Both strengths and weaknesses of the models are discussed referencing to Sturdy and Grey’s critique of change management assumptions. In the end, application of the models clarifies some key issues at my work place.
