マウスリボソームタンパク質L32 mRNAのTOPエレメントに結合する因子をAUF1 p45およびp42と同定した。ラパマイシン処理によりL32 mRNAの翻訳が抑制されたとき、AUF1 p45はこのmRNAと細胞質において挙動を共にすることが示唆された。このことより、AUF1 p45はL32 mRNAの翻訳調節に関与している因子の一つと考えられる。
