Summary

When we extract body temperature fluctuations not derived from behavior (resting body temperature) and track the rhythmic fluctuations, we found that re-entrainment of the behavioral rhythm takes about 8 days for an 8-hour phase shift of the light-dark cycle, whereas the resting body temperature rhythm re-entrains in about 4 days.
