The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that UV-evoked inflammation of the skin in MS mice is caused by oxidative stress. As a result, Hmox-1 and Cox2 gene expression levels were significantly increased in the TSOD skin than in the TSNO skin. Their expressions were further increased by UV irradiation in the TSOD skin.
