授業の到達目標及びテーマ
This course will prepare students to appropriately use English in a higher education setting. The central focus of this class will be to develop academic listening, note-taking, and topic discussion skills. This course will build on the skills developed in English for Advanced Studies A and English for Advanced Studies B.
授業の概要
This is a listening- and discussion-oriented integrated skills course, organized around topics from specific academic disciplines, such as Psychology, Media Studies, Sciences, and Humanities. Each topic is one unit that contains two chapters. Each unit begins with activities designed to develop interest, vocabulary, and knowledge of the topic. Students will prepare for and participate in lectures and discussions on the topics.  They will be assessed through their  production, participation, written quizzes and reports.
