授業の到達目標及びテーマ
The purpose of this course is to provide pharmacy students opportunities to use English related to their course of study in real-world situations. The focus of this course is on communicating with English speaking patients in a pharmacy setting. Practical communicative English will be taught. Special attention will be given to medical English vocabulary and pronunciation when prescribing over-the-counter (OTC) medicine.

授業の概要
This will be a communicative class in which students will often role-play with a partner as both pharmacist and patient. In these role-plays, students will identify illnesses based on a patient’s symptoms and prescribe the proper medicine based on those symptoms and the patient’s medical history. Students will also be responsible for learning and using English vocabulary relevant to the field of pharmaceutical studies.
