授業の概要
This is a listening- and discussion-oriented integrated skills course, organized around four topics: Marketing, Social Sciences, Media Studies, and Linguistics. Each topic is one unit that contains two chapters. Each unit begins with activities designed to develop interest, vocabulary, and knowledge of the topic. By the end of this course, students should be able to:
1. Build background knowledge and vocabulary to understand lectures
2. Recognize types of information in lectures, including signals for important information
3. Use an informal outline to take notes; highlight important information; organize information
4. Use expressions to enter and contribute to a discussion
5. Speak effectively about a topic using support, including visuals
