授業の到達目標及びテーマ

このコースは、英語で作成されたメディアコンテンツの理解を深めたい学生を対象としています。学生は、テレビ、映画、音楽、ソーシャルメディア、新聞、雑誌など、さまざまな種類のマスメディアを探究します。こうして語彙を増やし、目で見たもの、耳で聞いたものを説明するとともに、批判的に考察するために必要な言語スキルを伸ばします。
このコースでは、小グループでのスピーキングアクティビティーを通じて、自信を持って口頭で表現する能力を培うことにも重点を置きます。

授業の概要

このクラスでは、メディアとテクノロジーに関係する12のトピックについて学習します。
トピックごとに、そのトピックに関連する語彙を学び、練習します。英語のビデオ（オプションとして英語の字幕と時々日本語の字幕付き）があり、その後に理解の練習が続きます。次に、ビデオのトピックについて話し合い、小グループで、またはすべて一緒に、私たちのアイデアと印象を共有します。
クラスで学んだ語彙を使用して、各トピックの後に短いオンライン小テストがあります。
学期の終わりに、学生が選んだトピックについての短い会話で構成されるスピーキングテストがあります。また、コース全体で学習したトピックに関連する質問に回答するレポートを提出する必要があります。
最後に、クラスへの参加に基づいて採点されます。これは、クラスに出席するだけでなく、スピーキング活動にも参加することを意味します。
