授業の到達目標及びテーマ
The goal of this course is to improve the students' reading skills by expanding their vocabulary, enabling them to recognize word parts and their meaning, improving their understanding of paragraph structure, and demonstrating how to better infer meaning in context. The reading strategies practiced throughout the course will also help students develop key reading skills that it is hoped will enable them to improve their scores on the reading section of the TOEIC Test.
授業の概要
Students will read texts from Prism Reading 1, exploring high-interest issues and taking part in discussion activities relating to the content and topic of the reading passages. Students will answer comprehension quizzes about the readings and be tested on the new vocabulary items that are necessary to understand the reading passages in the textbook.
