This course focuses on the conception, production and evaluation of multimedia, with a focus on basic video production and editing. Through this course, students will gain a better understanding of how multimedia is created and obtain the basic skills to create and edit multimedia themselves.

Students will engage in practical English communication/collaboration through the acquisition of media production skills and participate in project-based learning, applying the basic rules and strategies they learn to their own video projects.

Self-assessment and reflection on course.

As part of this course, students are expected to preview upcoming class content, as well as to review the content of the previous classes. In addition to this, teachers will assign preview and review activities as part of the regular homework assignments. Assessment of how fully students are previewing and reviewing the lesson content, as well as how successfully they have completed the preview and review activities assigned, is included in the class participation and homework section of the assessment guidelines set out below. Students will engage in a minimum of 1 hour of both preview and review study for each lesson. Preview and review of course content is an essential aspect of learning, therefore, in order to pass this course and achieve a good passing grade, please ensure that you do this to the best of your abilities.

The student will be assessed on an ongoing basis during the semester according to the following criteria:
3 projects (10% each)= 30%
3 tests (10% each)= 30%
Class participation & homework= 25%
Final Project/Report = 15%
