授業の到達目標及びテーマ
This course will prepare students to appropriately use English in a higher education setting. The central focus of this class will be to develop academic listening, note-taking, and topic discussion skills on the topic of Gender Studies. This course will build on the skills developed in English for Advanced Studies A, English for Advanced Studies B, and English for Advanced Studies C.
授業の概要
This course is a continuation of English for Advanced Studies C (offered in F1 quarter). This is a listening and discussion-oriented integrated skills course, organized around topics related to Gender Studies. Each class begins with activities designed to develop interest, vocabulary, and knowledge of the topic. Students will prepare for and participate in lectures and discussions on the topics. They will be assessed through their production, participation, written quizzes and reports.

試験及び成績評価
Students will be evaluated on an ongoing basis based on the following criteria:
Vocabulary Quizzes - 10% Assignments / Tasks - 15% Class Participation - 15% Graded Discussions (2x15%) - 30% F2 Presentation - 15% F2 Written Report - 15% 課題(試験やレポート等)に対するフィードバック
Feedback on student performance is given on a weekly basis right after the presentations and discussions, or on the next class meeting after the assignment due date. You can also talk to your teachers individually if you want more detailed feedback or are concerned about your work or class performance.
