ブルーベリー中の総アントシアニン（ACN)量および総ポリフェノール（PP)量は、ハイブッシュ（HB)系品種よりもラビットアイ（RA)系品種の方が、有意に高値を示した。また、アントシアニジン類の存在割合はHB系ではdelphinidinが、RA系ではmalvidinの割合が多いことが確認された。RA系である“Suwannee”, “Homebell” および “Climax”は、ACN含量およびPP含量が高く、高い抗酸化活性を示した。
