本研究では，外国人材のための宿泊業務の日本語教育プログラムの開発を目指し，接客場面の2つのロールプレイによって抽出された談話を意味公式（意味機能の最小の単位）から分析し，日本人スタッフのデータと比較することで教育内容を抽出し、教育に取り入れるべき内容を検討した。
