Fair Use and Copyright in ESL Media Content

This presentation will examine the application of copyright law and fair use to the creation and use of materials in English education. The focus of the presentation will be based on the presenter's experience with content creation for several Japanese universities and ESL companies. Content mediums that will be discussed include textbooks, audio/video, web pages, and handouts. Particular attention will be given to understanding fair use and avoiding copyright infringement when creating content.
