In the Gwich’in society, non-parent adults take young pupils. This mentoring has been an important to pass on their tradition and used to support adolescents with problems, Presenter tried to propose a matchmaking system between adolescents and mentors. But Gwich’in were not interested in it. In this presentation, reasons that this proposal was not accepted was examined.
