The presenter outlined how the McKennan Collection was acquired and ultimately came to be housed in the NME. The presentation also reported on the results of fieldwork among Gwich’in communities in Alaska between December 2024 and January 2025. It further explored the contemporary significance of beadwork transmission in these communities.
